Lisa Dobrin is a Boorloo-based, London born fine artist, curator and photographer. Experiencing an unconventional and non-linear life path, her successes and failures led her from suicide, psych wards and unemployability to privileged positions of Chairperson and CEO.

“I set out to capture the human experience. Stacking the soundtrack of life, within, next to and on top of a landscape of stories, memories and experiences that are uniquely me, and mine. That in turn extends, over-reaches and connects to you, and yours.

Utilising a therapeutic process of emotional archaeology, I capture people, experiences and moments that mattered, delighted and pained the most, consciously curated into a single eyeshot and frame. Laid bare within the precision of each curation are the imperfections of conscious and unconscious remembering and forgetting; the messiness, mayhem and mundanity of being human juxtaposed the miracles and magic of the past, into the legacy of the now.”

A gifted creative and storyteller with laser-focused ambition and a higher purpose, to help humans to remember how to authentically belong, contribute, and connect.
